Commercial Perimeter and Screen Walls

We build walls for commercial and residential applications. Our walls are engineered to meet Florida code for windload requirements. They are a cementitious structure and can be used as perimeter walls, screen walls, barrier walls, and development walls for both commercial and residential properties.

We use a proven method that was brought from Arizona to the Naples, FL area 30 years ago. EPS foam walls built with this method are still standing. Our Wall Supervisor has over 15 years experience building these walls. When our wall is two, five, or twenty years old, the stucco will not fall off in sheets, and lawnmowers and weedeaters will not shred the finish. We offer a superior foam wall.

When comparing our walls to common block walls, it's important to compare apples to apples. Will the block wall be finished? That is, will it be sealed, stuccoed, and painted? Will it include columns and banding? While a footer for a concrete fence wall may meet windload requirements, a valid concern is how a shallow footer will settle into the ground over time. Will the block wall crack prematurely? When comparing the final product to our finished foam walls, the choice becomes clear.

The cost savings and aesthetic quality of our finished product is superior to block walls. Visit our website at http://www.fencesofdistinction.com for a sample of our work.

Ugly Fence

Tired of looking at ugly fence?

You've seen it. Miles and miles of chain link. Miles and miles of board-on-board warping in the Florida sun. Miles and miles of vinyl turning yellow and green and cracking because it's become brittle.

Cheap fence is ugly fence. There. We said it.

You don't have to settle for ugly when you fence your yard. Quality fence may cost more to begin with, but with a lifespan of 20 years or more, it's worth it.

Zoning and Permitting Your Fence or Wall

Zoning and permitting for your fence or wall may be simple or excruciatingly complicated. Often there are is no permit needed for a fence, including no windload requirements. Occassionally a fence must be permitted. Check with your building and planning department for your city or county's code.

A wall is another matter. Privacy walls are structurally engineered, and require permitting before they can be built. Most counties and cities will accept a set of engineered drawings and allow the homeowner to pull the permit. Other cities have structured their laws so that it is virtually impossible for the homeowner to pull their own permit.

We work with a General Contractor to help with these complications. Our fences and walls will always be properly permitted before construction. The homeowner will need to be available to sign the commencement paperwork and apply for any variances if necessary.

Don't risk having your planning board make you tear your new fence down! Check for your code before you build.

Quality Is Like Buying Oats

Quality is like buying oats.
If you want good, fresh oats,
you’ll have to pay a fair price.
If, however, you’re satisfied
with oats that have already
passed through the horse,
you may be able to save a little money.

Stucco Foam Privacy Walls

Create your own sanctuary with a stucco foam privacy wall. These walls are completely customizable with columns, banding, tiles, lighting, color, and surface texture. They are cost effective compared to concrete masonry walls.

For projects that require a cementitious wall, such as housing developments, or barrier walls between commercial and residential zones, a stucco foam wall is an excellent choice. The walls are engineered, and can be built to withstand up to 130 MPH winds, depending on your community requirements.

The base price of a wall is $95.00 per lineal foot for a 6 foot high wall, painted. Corners, columns, and other finish is additional. Minimum order 250 lineal feet. We will be happy to speak to you about pricing your project.

Fences of Distinction, Inc., is located in Ocala, FL. We install in Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville, as well as other Florida municipalities. Please visit our web site at http://www.fencesofdistinction.com for more information.

Quality Fence by a Professional Contractor

What do you look for when you hire a contractor?

One mantra of professional contractors: You can have work that is cheap, fast, or quality. Pick two.

Good fence isn't cheap, and you should be very wary of any quote that seems to good to be true, because it probably is. We specialize in quality work done within a realistic time frame. Our prices are within the midrange but we don't do cheap work.

We have liability insurance and worker's compensation. This is important to you because if there is an accident on your property, and the contractor doesn't have liability insurance or worker's compensation, guess who gets to pick up the bill for the injury?

We hire only U.S. citizens and legal immigrants. This is important to you because we pay taxes and that money stays here in the United States, benefitting our communities. We are your neighbors.

When we quote a price for fence, we are planning to provide a fence that will last 20 years or more. We take into consideration the terrain of your property, the materials you select, and the use for the fence. We have prepared a quote for the best fence your budget will buy.

But we have expenses that unscrupulous, uninsured contractors don't have. Our price may seem more expensive compared to the lowballers, but in the end, you get what you pay for.
